But if you are stuck on a minimal server where installing Go or Rust binaries is a hassle, Tig is already there, it is stable, and it reads enormous logs faster than anything else in this article.

Common Pitfalls and Migration Notes

1. Don’t mix git config pager settings with the TUI. All three tools honor core.pager, but if you set a pager like less -R globally, GitUI and Lazygit may render raw escape codes in some views. 2. Lazygit config migrations break old setups. Lazygit evolves fast and has changed config schema between major versions (the v0.40+ theme layout differs from older releases).
